About

TIMELINE

Zion History

1851

We began as a branch school of Immanuel Lutheran Church, just two years after its founding, underscoring the early Lutheran commitment to Christian day school education.

1884

Growth in the Harvester area led to the formation of Zion Lutheran Church as an independent congregation, with the school continuing seamlessly under its care.

1983

Rapid enrollment growth prompted construction of a new ten-room school building.

1990s-2000s

Steady expansion, including the remodeled Sonshine Center (2001) for early childhood and a new sanctuary (2003).

2014

We opened a state-of-the-art Early Childhood wing and commons to meet growing demand.

Today

Today, as St. Charles County's largest Lutheran grade school with over 575 students from Early Learning Program (18 months) through 8th grade, we build on this foundation of "Proclaiming Jesus as Savior, Serving Jesus as Lord." Our history reflects enduring dedication to equipping generations for faithful service.

Misson & Faith

At Zion Harvester Lutheran School, we center our Christ-centered education on this mission: Ministering to families in Jesus' love while embracing, equipping, and enhancing each child's unique gifts for acts of service.

We nurture the whole child, spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically, to prepare lifelong servants of Christ. Daily chapel, Bible-based curriculum, and faith-integrated lessons help students build strong relationships with God, others, and themselves.

As an accredited school by the National Lutheran School Accreditation (Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod) and the State of Missouri, we proclaim Jesus as Savior and serve Him as Lord. In St. Charles, Missouri, our faith foundation creates a welcoming community where every family experiences God's love in action.
