Athletics Philosophy
Every Practice. Every Game. Every Season.
At Zion Harvester Lutheran School in St. Charles, Missouri, athletics is an extension of our whole-child ministry, nurturing body, mind, and spirit. Through the St. Louis Lutheran Athletic League and other competitions, our program helps student-athletes:
-
Exhibit a positive Christian attitude in victory and defeat
-
Discover and express their God-given traits and abilities
-
Demonstrate Christ-like sportsmanship and respect
-
Appreciate God’s gift of physical health and strength
The experience teaches essential life lessons:
-
Responsible team play and cooperation
-
Mental and physical self-discipline
-
Loyalty, personal pride, and school pride
-
Respect for the rights of others
-
The will to win with integrity
Hard work, dedication, and faith produce lasting results. We encourage every participant to develop their talents to the fullest, glorifying God in every aspect of competition.
